Default Problem with DVD writer

Hi folks,

My DVD rewriter has suddenly stopped recognising DVDs but will recognise and play CDs no problem.

As far as I know nothing has been changed on the computer recently but I don't know if it's a system problem or whether I need to buy a new writer.

Any help is gratefully accepted.

Adrian

Default Problem with DVD writer

There are two seperate lasers on such a drive.

One for DVD, one for CD.

It is probably faulty.
