theres a compaq laptop that seems to be sick. lol

the hard drive was newly reformatted.(not by me) and for some reason whoever did this decided to make the recovery drive the primary drive. there is absolutly 0 space left. the c drive on the other hand is empty.
my question is....

how do i get the computer to run off of the c drive and not the recovery drive(d)

any help would be much appreciated.

thank you,
silence

um. Is there an OS installed? It will boot to the OS
if not, check the BIOS and fix the boot order.

enter into BIOS or setup when it's booting (it will tell you to hit del or a function key)
then enter into boot order and check the boot order options (CDROM, Harddisk) and see if there are more than one harddisk
Otherwise you might try to boot from XP CD and repair the boot sector
