Hi All,
I am unable to move files from my HDD. The problem started by letting me only move even numbered files from one folder, then only odd numbered files from the next. I managed to get it working again for about half a day by turning off and back on after giving it a rest (it is usually on a lot of the time), but by the next day I could only move half the files again. Eventually it wouldn't let me move anything. The time bar comes up and either copies 1/3 or 2/3 of a file then says "cannot find source from file or disk" (I think) or just freezes and I have to restart explorer from task manager. I can still move stuff to the HDD but not from. I am concerned about losing files as it is full of films and music that would cost a lot of time and money to replace. Please help me!!!

When I run chkdsk it gets stuck about 2/3 of the way through. Any other ideas? Thanks

Does this happen if you connect the drive to a different PC ?
