Default Raid Controler question

Hi on my device manager for my old computer upstairs there is a question? mark on "Raid Controller". Can anyone explain this to me please, also do i need to install this. thank you Ash

RAID is for when you setup your hard drives in RAID mode.

I doubt you are running it so it isn't essential.
