Default removing a hard drive

Can anyone explain how I can remove the hard drive from my old acer travelmate 291LMi please. I have looked through the acer site and there is no real info there at all.
Thanks

Just unscrew the screws for the backplate on the bottom of the chassis protecting the hdd.

You may then have to remove a retaining bracket that surrounds the hdd (manufacturer dependent).

Once that's done, or if there is no bracket, then just grip the drive be the sides and slowly (don't wiggle it from side to side as you could damage the communication port) pull the hdd from the communication interface (ide in this case I believe).
