about a month ago i had to install windows again and format the previous data, but unfortunately i had my 2Gb SD card plugged into it as well. so i deleted the partition only to find out a couple of seconds later that I'd got rid of the wrong one. oh no!!
the info in the disk is no longer a problem to me if i lose it, but i can't figure out how to format it and create a new partition. i kinda had a go, but only managed to make space for 8mb. so I'm losing 1992Mb as i can't use it. damn, now i need to transfer some video data from school to home. I looked at the SD card and thought crap! any ideas of just getting rid of the lot and starting again on the card? thanks for all suggestions rob :) |

when you reformat there should be a box at the top with different storage sizes in it, select the 2gb one and then format.

do you mean when you stick the windows CD in and boot from it? mine wasn't for some reason, even when i was choosing in the boot options.
i fixed it another way tho. start -> run -> typed "diskmgmt.msc" & click ok -> gets me to "disk management". here i deleted any unwanted small partitions etc and create one new one for the entire SD card to use. thanks for the suggestion tho. :) |
