I have a WD 320GB passport hard drive that is unresponsive. I can open it on my computer to see the files but I can't access any of it. it doesn't allow me to copy the files either. What can I do apart from formatting? Don't wanna lose my files. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Have you tried setting the permissions up on the hard drive, what os are you using and we might be able to talk you through the proceedure and hopefully get your files back for you
