Default USB help!

I dont think my USB ports are working. I've tried many help sites but none seem to help. The computer tells me that they are enabled but when i plug my ipod in nothing happens at all. It is not a problem with my Ipod because i have tried it on another computer and it has worked fine. Can anyone help?

Ok go into Device Manager by right clicking My Computer and choosing Properties then the Hardware Tab then Device Manager.
Tell me if you see any yellow question marks.

No icant see any yellow question marks but there is a yellow exclamation mark next to 'comunications port(COM4)' if that means anything.

Default USB help!

It's possible they are faulty, from experience it's very common.

The easiest fix is to get a 4 post USB PCI card and fit it inside the PC giving you 4 new ports on the back that are powered directly off the motherboard.

They cost around £10-£15 from www.ebuyer.com

If you need a link to a product let me know.
