hi there i have a laptop with a "bad" hard drive and only have 2gb left but all i want to do is use my 120gb portable hard drive as a second one to install stuff just like a fixed one. how do i do this?

i have formatted the hard drive as NTFS what next?

( i want to use this on a xp )

Plug it in and when installing the game select the external drive instead of C:\.

The game will probably run slow tho' due to the external drive access times.

Another option is to clean up your main drive, chances are it's full of temp files and junk if it hasn't be done before or recently.

Ccleaner will free up a load of space with one click. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Ah I see, drives are dirt cheap, might be worth upgrading.
