I have recently downloaded the latest Windows 7 beta build, thanks to another post on the forum. I want to know if there is a way to create a partition without having to format my hard drive. I'm not keen on losing all my stuff on this computer for a 3rd time! haha.

Is it possible or am I dreaming?

Thanks guys!

Try Gparted, burn to DVD or USB and resize your primary partition down about 30gb and make a new one.

You have to love when a thread is bumped discussing the impossibility of an action undertaken four months ago with success.

You clearly have no idea.

Thats exactly what Gparted / Partition Magic / all the others are for. To partition the hard drive without reformatting it.
