Default Why is this DVD drive so much cheaper...

...than the rest of the ones at Walmart.com? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ct_id=5518024I dont understand why this one is almost $50 less than the other ones at Walmart.com. Is it a really bad one or something? Can someone tell me, cause my family needs a new one and if this one is fine, we can actually afford it,

Here's one for 33.99 w/lightscribe : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...106055It's a Sony product from what I've found...apparently the above model works great and the review was positive. The above is even less than Walmart.DVD burners are quite inexpensive now so it's just a matter of what you want in a burner.

Default Why is this DVD drive so much cheaper...

my mom is a manager of a wal mart and she says different brabds request different prices when they ship their product or they are having a hard time selling them. Most often its just because it doesnt have all the features or isnt as popular in brand name, maybe the store feels people will buy them cheaper. at my moms wal mart they have mp3 players really cheap and others are expernsive so it usually depends on brand, warrenty and things like that. When their cheap in price they can last longer than others but always keep the reciept!! Its like dvd players they were so expensive once now you can get one for 20 bucks!! SO to answer the question I own one of those and their just fine, they arent fancy and all pizzaz but they work the way they should!!
