Now then is there anyone out there who can possibly help me?? My pc has gone crazy.....you turn it on it does 2 beeps then shuts off....memory we thought so put new in........it worked! Oh yes this happened after my other 1/2 hoovered it all and moved it to another part of the desk!! So it works...he moves it properly now to where it should be, plugs all in and wham.....it does exactly the same!! My friend looked and said there was no C drive but my partner says its there but just not working......we really dont know what to do now!!! Anyone have any ideas??? He is now talking about putting new motherboard in to try. The only way i can get on the pc is keeping finger down on f8 and let it run in safe mode but as you know...only so much can do on there. It seems to be a problem when i has been disconnected from the power.......please someone help!! Thanks all

The C drive is the hard drive and if you can boot into safe mode then there is no problem with the hard drive, if the problem only happens when the power is switched off then I would place money on the problem being your power supply

If moving it around makes it work you need to make sure the memory is in all the way and the side latches are down. It may just be loose.

Thanks, i dont think it's really the moving it around....it was just when he had to unplug to move it to another part of the cupboard........when he plugged it all back in, we had the same problem.....it wouldn't recognise the C drive and we had to boot in safe mode again. Problem is now we put in new memory it is doing the two beeps again as if to say memory no good!!
