Ok i have built the new pc and my new mobo Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P has amazing on board sound HD, Dolby quad 5.1 ,7.1 .. i have desided to leave my creative fatality fx card in the old pc and use the onboard sound , ive been looking at all kinds of speaker set up's logitec, altec , creative , ectt.. the thing that i dont get is ALL the audio systems have the speekers ataching to the back panel of the sub, with only limmited (2) connections going to the mobo's audio pannel witch is set up (mine anyway) with the same type as the back of the subs ..
I cant seem to find a set up that will let me plug in sepratly to the mobo for the front, L-R back L-R center, and sub where/so i can use the HD and dolby programs that came with the mobo .. does that make any sence ?? the mobo has all the slots/lines and there all re programable to whatever you want/need , its a great set up but i cant seem to find any speaker system that lets me use it ,i want a sub to plug into my mobos sub slot ,front right in the front right slot and so on ectt.. all the set ups i see wont do that ,you plug all the rear and side speakers into the sub and one line from the sub goes to the mobos line out and the front maine's go to the green line in ectt... so i posting here to see (caz im probly missing somthing right under my nose) if anyone has done what im trying to do and could inlighten me ..lol  thx kro ... |

Think you've got a bit muddled.

All the output connections on the mobo do get used, they all go to the subwoofer (in the case of a horrible A-I-O package) which is also the amplifier for all lines. However you don't mention your budget. If you can afford it I would seriously reccomend not buying a package set up, they tend to be small tinny speakers and in my opinion, a waste of money. If you can, get a decent AV Reciever, and speakers to go with it. If you can afford that and want to know some more just post back and I can reccommend some brands/models. My System: FordyPC
