Hey everyone!

I just upgraded my CPU from an Athlon 64 X2 6000+ to a cooler and less power demanding Phenom II X4 945 (95watt).

I updated my bios prior to installing the new CPU, and the MB recognized the new CPU without any hitch. But I noticed now that my audio is choppy when it loads games, plays videos and when I listen to my mp3s? This did not happen before I upgraded my CPU. I have also updated my audio drivers, but this did not resolve the problem

Does anyone have any idea if the CPU is causing this, I really hope that is doesn't since it should be much more stable and powerful than my old one.

Thank you for your help.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte MA78GPM-DS2H and I have updated the bios to F5. Also when I play games I have the same audio problem.
