Bare wire speakers into Jack socket problem.. Ok, I need a set of my speakers (Modified Boston A40's) to go into the stereo (Front Left + Right) Jack socket on my 7.1 soundcard.
But they only seem to work if I take a Jack - Phono lead into my amp then plug them into there.. this is fine if I only want stereo sound, but unfortunatley I'm going for 7.1 and I'm buying a 5.1 set to go in around but my current two are better than those so I want them Front Left + Right.
The back of the speakers doesn't have Optical or Digital connection, only Push connectors for bare-wire.
Is this as simple as putting the Pos + Neg together into 1 (on both speakers) and then joining the two mono's to make the Stereo and soldering that onto a Jack plug?
Thanks.
