Hello fellow computer users. I have a problem. Don't we all?

First off, let me explain the situation:

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite A105 S-1014 - of the exact specifications, I'm not sure.

Hardware I am using in conjunction with this laptop is a range of music-making devices, the only one connected straight into the laptop is the Line6 PodXT Pro - which acts as an external soundcard and audio interface for playing into the computer and recording. This, I think, is where the problem is.

When I go into music softwares that I use such as Fruity Loops and Sonar, there are skips, jumps, rips (like digital farts) and any song I am playing sounds like it is coming from an old warped record - not the latest music editing software.

I've tried many things to remedie this problem

See this thread I've had going with someone else earlier on to get a clearer idea of what's been happening.

I. Just. Don't. Know. What. To. Do.

The problem is going to give me an early death and my 21st birthday is in 3 weeks. I am seriously getting ready to break my laptop in half.

I don't know whether it's the Pod, the laptop, the software, the hardware, my hearing. I just don't know. Any help would be very much appreciated. Please. I need to record music again!!!

Cheers, J

I am no expert but it sounds as if you are putting far too much volume into this and it is getting clipped. Either that or your system can't process the data quickly enough?

What was the point of your link? I just got an error message displayed.

The problem was that my laptop was doing too many things at once and I simply had to turn off the wireless internet and everything worked fine. The point of the link was to send you to a previous thread I was posting on at the official Line6 website (I'm using Line6 hardware) so people could see what I had done, etc. But I guess it didn't work.
