...kitchen, are there remote speakers available? i spend alot of time in the kitchen but i want to listen to music from the PC in there, is there some sort of remote speakers available??

I believe there are remote speakers that you can install so that you can listen to your music anywhere in the house but, if my memory serves me right, it has a limited distance.

Decade makes a FM RF modulator, just set the freq and use any radio to listen in. cost ranges from $100- $1000

If you have wi-fi, try looking at Roku Labs. They make a wi-fi receiver that allows you to control the playback including song selection from your PC music database. It runs about $200. You will need speakers and a power source (amplifier or amplified speakers).Logitech also makes a system that allows you to control playback remotely.
