hi guys im new to this forum, just wondering if anyone can help me im looking to run my computer into my surround sound and t.v in my bedroom, is there any way that i can wire my computer into my surround sound system?
this is whats done:
sony surround sound system installed
dvd + video player wired into surround sound system using rcas etc (leaving t.v/sat rca space empty at the back of amplifier)
looking to buy a new 40" sony lcd screen which will connect to computer
but i will have no sound coming through the surround sound or t.v is there anyway of getting sound from the computer to the surround sound? e.g. rca outputs from computer?

well it depends what connectors are coming from the sorround sound system. if its 3.5mm jacks or an optical out cable you are on easy street and only require a 10 pound (or less) sound card.

however if its some other connection you may need to do some wireing or buy a converter.

How the hell do earphones manage to get Audio from a computer to your Surround!?

You can get earphones, wireless or otherwise, which simulate surround sound. They are rather good. There are loads of reasons why somebody would change their mind and decide to buy headphones over speakers.

Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought he meant the earphones were somehow making the sound come out the speakers xD, dum old me!
