Hi,
I want to know how I can change the volume of my speaks, but leave the volume same for the headphones. They are plugged in different jacks at the back. My speakers have a volume knob, but at max, it isn't enough. So when I turn it louder in volume control (on computer) the headphones go too loud, so I have to change the sound back, or my ears hurt. Anyone know if it is possible? I have Realtek ALC888/S/T @ nVIDIA MCP65 - High Definition Audio Controller...

why would you need the headphones and speakers to be turned up or down independantly, when you will only ever use one or the other?
if there in different coulered jacks then it can be done, but otherwise you will have to use hardware to control this, i.e. volume control on the headphones |

I want them to be change independently because when the speakers are at the right volume, the headphones are too loud. Even though I only use one at a time, I don't want to change the volume everytime I switch. I would rather have an independent control for each and leave it, so they are both right. Yes, they are in different coloured jacks.
