| I got a Pc Headset 960 USB for Christmas and when i plugged it in a lost sound through my speakers i use it for when im playing games with my friends to chat but when i play on my own i would like to use my speakers and i dont want to have to UN/Plug my headset back in everytime i use it if this helps im using an onboard soundcard and im using Realtek HD audio Manager |

| In the top right hand corner of Realtek Sound Manager press "Device Advanced Settings" Now select the second option "Make front and rear output devices playback different audio streams simultaneously" Now click "Ok"

| You could pick up an audio splitter for a few quid and have the outputs going through the splitter. This will mean you have to turn off your speakers if you don't want them on and your headset will always be on. I do this and find it works flawlessly =) *EDIT* I am a fool, its a USB headset.. Follow the advice above then =) |
