Default External Speaker Query

Hi all

I was asking if anyone can help as i wanted to know I have external speakers, basic cheap ones that when I used to switch on they used to work fine, and they still do work. I just recently bought a new printer and when I started printed the computer speaks i'e Start Printing , and then when the printing work has finished, a sound states " Printing Finshed". THE EXTERNAL SPEAKERS ARE NOT EVEN PLUGGED IN.This never used to happen before, or have I just realised that there is another speaker inside my computer.

I was just wondering is there a speaker system inside of my computer as well. If so how do i listen anything I want through them instead of my external speakers. Thank You

Max

Computers do have an internal speaker but I can only play bleeps.

You must have some external speakers plugged in and turned on.

I have Project Studio 6 speakers that I turn on for working with audio or listening to music.

Otherwise, I have a Princeton monitor with small speakers built into it that I usually have on to hear the Windows sounds, etc.

Actually, some computers, like my old one, can have a really small speaker inside, in addition to the mobo one. ;)

Yeah some computers have a small built in speaker inside their cabinet. Next time, you hear that sound again, try to figure out, from where it has been coming. Then may be we would be able to tell you clearly, the cause of it.
