I have a Creative SB 5.1 card and its hooked upto surround sound.
Recently i bought an LCD tv and hooked my pc to it, with a very long video cable, as its in the next room. I now want to plug my pc audio into the tv, so i can watch all my downloaded movies on it in HD. the easy thing to do is to just use my speakers, but the tv is in the next room. so i want to connect a new cable into the sound card that runs to the tv. the available jack i have is Line In. Is there any way that the Line In jack can give a Line Out signal instead? is there any configuration software to do this? I might get told to just swap the wires over, depending on which room I am in, but thats difficult to do as the PC is hidden away. I have tried a Y splitter but that just gets rid of my surround sound and only gives audio through the left or right channel. help much appreciated. thanks Ben |

there might be a line out jack on your sound card and you could get one of those cables if not go to an electronics store and buy a headphone spillter plugg it in to ur sound card and plug ur speakers into one end and look for a cable that has 1 of those headphone jacks and a line in cable that u need
