The Foxconn NF4SK8AA has an old Realtek ALC850 Sound chipset.

I found the AC'97 driver over at Realtek, be sure to download the drivers named "Vista/Win7 (32/64 bits) Driver only (ZIP file)".

Tell us how it goes .

Uninstall any drivers and software through "Programs and Features" under "Control Panel" then uninstall the sound device through "Device Manager" in "Control Panel" and reboot. Finally Download and install this.

Back to the original post, if the green bar was moving it indicates that sound is being output, therefore the speakers may not have been setup properly or that they are not working.

Are you sure the speakers were plugged in the green 3.5mm jack and that they were configured properly?

Alternatively, you could try running Windows Update and downloading any relevant drivers.

I have had the problem in the past with an ASUS P5VD1-X, I eventually used the official drivers and ran them in XP compatibility mode. You could try:

1. Remove all sound drivers through the "Control Panel" or CCleaner, and then through "Device Manager", reboot.

2.Run CCleaner and "Scan for issues" under "Registry" and fix all selected issues. (This step is not needed but is performed to avoid any possible conflicts of previous registry entries)

3. Download the official drivers from the Foxconn website and change the compatibility mode to "Windows XP" and install.
