Hi all...I am currently looking for a good gaming headset...I have been looking at Razer's stuff but quite frankly there are really overpriced. They also lack one thing that I am looking for too.

I need a standard output (1 mic and 1 headphone jack). Razer's generally supply USB powered headsets.

I don't care about pricing so long as it is worth it.

Could someone recommend something?

Thanks

Any audiophile will tell you that its far better to just buy and good pair of headphones and a clip on mic
Try looking out for some Sennhieser headphones and a zalman mic

Yeah, exactly that. If you really want a "gaming headset" nothing is going to give you any better sound quality than a pair of $20 Logitechs, if you want to pay more than that at least get some decent headphones and a clip on mic so that you're not just paying for a name.

Have a look at the Roccat Kave. It vibrates and such which seems a bit annoying but I know Roccat do high quality products. Razer have a new headset coming out with "Circumaural" technology or something, may want to have a look into it. Even so, a good set of headphones and a clip on microphone are a better option for sound quality alone.
