Default Guitar input

Hi, how can I connect my guitar amp to my computer? What I have been doing is using a 6.3mm to 3.5mm jack and plugging the 3.5mm jack to the Line In of my sound card, but that's very primitive and I want something better.

Is there something I can install internally in my computer, maybe in the 3.5" bay or 5.25" bay, that can allow me to interface with my guitar amp?

Thank you

Try searching for a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum Ex or Audigy 2 ZS Platinum on Ebay. They go for about £50-£70 They have 1/4" Mic imput with volume control and preamp. 1/4" line in. 1/4" Headphone. Midi in/Midi out. Remote Control for playing back music. Firewire. Optical In/ Opticle out. I could go on all day stating what it's got but I find it to be the best sound card i've ever used. I also plug my electric guitar into it.
