My sound stopped working for anything on my computer after i installed a game.

They do that, games.

Is it an Atari? An Acorn? A Commodore Pet?

I seem to remember Asteroids could disable the sound on a BBC Micro in graphics mode 4, perhaps you're running Asteroids? The only solution I found to that was to run in graphics mode 2 or 1 but you needed to restart the machine before you switched modes for it to work.

Its a New PC. The game i installed was Half life(the old one)

So. Was it temporary or permanent. When you powered the computer down and then restarted did the sound come back until you retried Halflife, or did the sound die the once and it's been dead ever since?
