Ok, i have just installed an old 5.1 Sonic Furry soundcard, i had trouble getting it to work but oh well. It was working fine, and then i restarted my computer, and all noises from internet, windows, and songs and everything, jus come up as a really annoying and weird sound through my surround sound. it was all working fine at 1 point...abserlutly anynthing i try dosnt work.....help would be much apreciated!

did ya install the correct drivers for the card?

have ya tried another set of speakers?

yeah iv tried it all...it jus sudenly made noises
just like, squeeking and like weird noises haha, cant explain. just ike screatchin n scratchin sort of thing...if that helps

try re-installing the device software or updating the drivers, also make sure the speakers are plugged in correctly, i am always making this mistake

ill second that mistake cew27,

ill go to the extent of taking my card out and chewing it before i realise the cable wasn't in

plug in some headphones and tell us if it still makes the weird noise?

still makes the noise with hedaphones, but sometimes it sorts itself out and works fine.....it is really annoyin

if the card is compatible with your OS and you have installed the correct up to date drivers for your OS then i can only imagen the card is faulty, im stumped otherwise
