Recently our old hard drive almost died so we got a new one and did a file transfer. Some programs acted up requesting us to input the serial number again. We also installed Nero, an A/V program so we could burn DVD's. It basically hijacked all the files and made it the primary program to use to open all of them. We fixed that, but ever since then whenever I use any audio program (Audacity, Sony Sound Forge, Sound Recorder, iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc.) it doesn't work. I hit play and it says it is playing but no sound comes out of the speakers. Also the timeline of the .mp3 or .wav stays at 0.00 seconds. The only exception is Windows Media Player and Nero, the timeline moves but no sound comes out. Can someone please help me?
Thank you so much, JTWonderfish |

No for some reason YouTube videos are having the timeline problem and aren't playing. Videos on my hard drive play all the way through but they are super sped up and glitch up every couple of seconds. Seriously....someone...help.....

OK, as it happens on youtube as well there must be missing drivers. Download latest from your soundcard make or microsoft. Should work. I had same with DVD, i accidently deleted all of them...
