hi Im pretty much a beginner so please if you reply, try and keep it simple :) Thank you! I have a Packard Bell Easynote laptop with Windows XP. I have never been able to play music or movies. The music itself sounds fine, but the voices are always distorted..it sounds as if they are singing from down in a tunnell! You cant listen to it. Real echo sound. I have taken it through every troubleshoot thing on the computer. It says everything is fine!! But you just cant listen to it! At a total loss..have even checked the drivers but nothing seems to help. It's RealTec HD..whatever that means. Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated. :)Thank you!

I assume you have disabled all sound effects on the sound processor software?

Are you saying music is fine but voices only are distorted?

What about listening to a voice-only recording? Could be the balance that is wrong. Don't expect much from laptop speakers, but if you plug in some headphones it should sound stunning.
