Default Help - USB Turntable

I don't know if this is a problem that is with the turntable or my computer. I just got a Gem Sound DJ-USB turntable. I am having a problem hearing what I am recording (though I see it's recording via the digital meters on the Audacity program, but the only way to replay thetrack is to unplug the USB from the computer. What the heck is going on? Please help!
