built in monitor speakers which are very poor quality? I have a tft hanns g monitor with built in speakers but the sound is very poor for music. I have the old set of speakers from my previous monitor but even when I connect them via the green port ( they are also seperately powered) I can't seem to get it to work at all. I have nothing in my manual for the monitor and have searched for tips but can't seem to find anything which I can understand Please help

It seems to me that either the old speakers are faulty or your soundcard needs attention. I suggest you try another set of speakers ( say 2 or 2.1 set ) and if they don't give a better sound, go for the soundcard. Are you sure that all volumes ate turned up on the PC?

Quite simply, buy them and plug them in. My 2.1 speakers have a 3.5mm jack which plugs into the speaker socket on the back of your computer, it's usually a light green colour. I don't think there's anything wrong with your monitor speakers, they just don't produce a decent sound - mine don't even if they are working properly.
