hi all. i am a fan of a music share room, how can i share the music coming through my headphones?
i have windows xp with microsoft life chat lx-3000 headphones. thank you in antisapation of a solution. |

First off, I'm not quite sure I understand how a music share room works. If it's just from sound on your PC, and you're headphones are plugged into another device, then you just need two things:
Now just follow some very simple steps:

Just to add, if your headphones are plugged into your PC, (aka listening to music off your pc) Fordys solution won't work!
If that is the case, simply go into the volume control for the recording part of your Sound Card, and set it to Wave as the source. |

I think it would work.. It would just be a stupid long-winded solution. Yours of course requires no hardware so is even simpler and a lot tidier.

Having a cable coming out of your headphone/line out into your mic/line in generally creates a nasty loop noise, usually a buzz or whistle. Not sure whether this is a electronic short, groundloop, feedback or whatever, but its always happened whenever ive tried it!
