Hi
I have an old Soundblaster 5.1 Live card and have always wanted to know how to use the 3.5 jack for digital audio output. To my knowledge the only SPDIF connections are toshlink optical and coaxial. So how on earth do you use a 3.5mm jack for Dolby passthrough to external amp? |

I do not think the 3.5mm can be used for digital.

Dave is right, 3.5MM jacks are used for analogue output. SPDIF is digital optiocal.
