Default how many watts should i get

you know your amp lets say it gives a power output of 2x100, so it gives an output of 100 watts per channel, and your speakers can handle 100 watt max each so thats alrite but what about the sub you buy do you get a sub thats 100w or a sub thats 200w because if you combine both the speakers together you get a power rating of 200w ???!!!

Presuming you are buying an active sub, just connect it to the pre-out on the amp. Presuming your amp supports that feature. As for the exact power of the amp... That is also subjective to the room; you don't want one that will just overpower the room. Small room, less power, big room, more power.

the real question is not how many watts, but how many amps on the 12 volt line. if you want a good graphics card per say, it don't matter if its 500w, or 1000w, if you don't have enough amps on the 12 volt line (its a power wire directly to the graphics card) you card wont be able to power up, and then goes the same for the whole PC.
