I've tried deleting all of the Creative (sound blaster audigy) related files on my computer and reinstalling them multiple times, but that may have caused the second problem you suggest.

If by system reboot, do you mean system restore? If so, that's not going to work because I had to delete all of my past restore points ealier this afternoon.

Otherwise, please let me know what I can do... This is honestly driving me crazy.
