| wont detect it what should i do? my labtop is an xp and its in the shop..... it detects it but my windows 98 computer wont what should i do? plz help |

| its kinda tricky to add devices without a cd but you can with some workhook it up to tour computer and go to the control panel add new hardware follow the instructions and it will look for your device |

| Even with windows 98 you should be able to download the latest version of media player. That should detect the mp3 player. You could also try an un-install / reinstall of the software that came with the mp3 player. I know the last thing you want to do is run an install, so you can download music. You want to plug and play and be good to go; I know. You could also try looking on The Sony web site under products and enter in a keyword search the Serial Id number or The Name of the Mp3 player. When you find it download the updated version of the driver that detects your mp3 player. That's a lot faster and less hassle then trying to find the software that came along with the mp3 player. |
