Default i have a sony bean flash mp3 player and my computer

wont detect it what should i do? my labtop is an xp and its in the shop..... it detects it but my windows 98 computer wont what should i do? plz help

its kinda tricky to add devices without a cd but you can with some workhook it up to tour computer and go to the control panel add new hardware follow the instructions and it will look for your device

Even with windows 98 you should be able to download the latest version of media player. That should detect the mp3 player. You could also try an un-install / reinstall of the software that came with the mp3 player. I know the last thing you want to do is run an install, so you can download music. You want to plug and play and be good to go; I know. You could also try looking on The Sony web site under products and enter in a keyword search the Serial Id number or The Name of the Mp3 player. When you find it download the updated version of the driver that detects your mp3 player. That's a lot faster and less hassle then trying to find the software that came along with the mp3 player.
