Default I'm after a 4 Ohm 110W (roughly) resistor

I need a 4 Ohm resistor capable of handling a power of about 110W.

Is this possible and where can i find it?

I need it to add resistance to my 4 Ohm speakers as the amp drives 8 ohms.

Thanks for your help.

Tried Maplin? They carry this type of component.

Yeah, I looked on Maplin and CPC, but I'm confused with the difference between 4K 4R and 4 Ohms, they all seem to be rated in different measurements..

is there 100K in an R for example?

Thanks.

Hi There.
Just get a 4 ohm speaker rated at over 110watts and connect it in series with your other speaker.......4ohms + 4 ohms = 8 ohms.....easy
Pete

Two of the 2 ohm versions of these.

http://www.rapidonline.com/productin...moduleno=77299

Wire them in series.

They are slightly less than 100 watts but that will not matter.

1K = 1000 ohm's
