| speakers now receive a local fm station. what should i do? there is a radio transmitter behind our new house. |

| I am thinking if you call the station, and explain the problem they may have a fix for you. There may be a filter you can install that will keep your house elec system from being one giant antenna.Good luck !! |

| This is not usually a problem with FM stations, it is usually AM stations that do this. Are you sure It's and FM station. Most FM stations are located on hilltops or other high areas. AM stations are usually located in low-lying areas. If you talk to the station chief engineer, he or she may try to help you or give you some advice. They usually try to stay on good terms with potential listeners. But it they are operating with the specifications of their license they are not required to help. Some extra shielding or by-passing may be required to keep the RF from the radio station out of your electronic devices. If this helps or not will depend on how close the station is and how much power it puts out. I have had to fight this problem more than once. It can get complicated. Good luck. |
