just today my set of Logitech R20 speakers died.
i need a new set and i have seen some pretty cheap 2.1 systems around, so i'll go for one of them.

I'm stuck between the:
Creative SBS A-200
Edifier M1350
TDK XA-40
and Logitech LS-21

I'm leaning towards the Creative's as Creative speakers generally sound pretty good, and the Creatives also have adjustible bass, which is nice.

all these speakers are around AU$30.
which speakers would you guys you reccommend?

I'd recommend the Logitech X-230 set.

yeah i was looking at those, and they seem good.
but they're twice the price of the others, and they might not seem that expensive, but i'm pretty much out of money at the moment :/

I would not get the TDK XA-40's at all the subwoofer kicks in at 70hz not the usual 40hz of most subs.

I would not recommend any of them but out of the few you have selected:

1. Logitech LS-21
2. Creative SBS A-200
3. Edifier M1350
4. TDK XA-40

I would only debate between the Logitech and Creative's.

Out of personal experience, look at the Philips speakers found here. I use the 5.1 version of these speakers and they are phenomenally loud with easy to adjust volume and no hiss to speak of.

They're a bit out of his price bracket.
