Default I upgraded to Windows VIsta on my HP computer, and

my speakers no longer work, but make this popping noise? Anybody know what went wrong?Used to run XP, just recently got Vista.I have a note book (C300, COmpaq)

From what I've heard, Vista has a looot of compatibility issues with hardware and many many applications. Eventually, they should release an update for your hardware on the HP website. Just wait a while and it should be alright.

This happened to me also. You have to talk to someone of Windows Vista or HP. That is what I did and they fixed it... I also think you may need a disk but you already have it.

Check the compaq website for drivers, you may need to update them for Vista. If they haven't released any yet I'm sure they will soon. Not all companies have updated to Vista yet.
