Laptop Connected by HDMI Still Giving Sound (instead of Other Speakers)

I have a 11" or so laptop (Windows 7 64 Bit) connected to a receiver by HDMI which is connected to our Samsung TV by another HDMI, but sound is coming from the laptop instead of the 'surround' speakers. How can I resolve this? I want to watch some youtube vids (playthroughs in (near) HD) on the TV . . . . . . . Oh and I KNOW I've gotten sound from the speakers (non-Laptop) before today. . .


Regardless of what I've tried I can never see a TV icon.

If you look bottom right in the system tray, you will have a speaker icon there, right click that and click on "Play back devices" you will have one there that says HDMI or something similar, right click that and set that as default audio device.
