| My laptop (dell inspiron E1505) seems to have lost it's sound, i have all the correct drivers and have done all the rollbacks and have concluded that my sound card has died on me. if i purchase a new sound card, would i be able to override my on board sound card through it's settings? and lastly, what would be a good and affordable laptop sound card? thanks for all your help. |

| Being a laptop, you would need a USB card. Try searching Amazon for USB Sound Card. Then you need speakers too! (Or headphones.) Have you checked in the Control Panel that the sound volume for some channels isn't just turned down?
