I was thinking of getting a Logitech S-220 speaker system (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...gitech%20S-220). What attracted me to this was the fact that it has ports for the mic/headphone and that it is within my budget ($40). What worries me is that the system only has 17 watts (9 for sub, 4 per speakers). I generally do not turn my speakers on very loud. When I am gaming, I use my headphones which is why I need the mic/headphone ports. When people are over, we usually crowd around my computer to watch a movie. I am worried that 17 watts might not produce enough sound. What do you guys think?
In addition, can you guys recommended any good speakers? I am looking for a 2.1 speaker system under $40 that has a mic/headphone jack. |

That system isn't do bad, itll be alright for general use. If you have a large room and like to watch a movie loud with decent quality, your gonna have to spend a bit more im afraid. 17watts isn't to bad, and logitech is usually pretty decent.

If that's not an exaggeration - it should be ok.

It's the quality that will suffer, not the ability to turn it up, but if you're all huddled up it'll be fine. It's not much money, so I'd get it, especially as Logitech are usually fairly decent as mctw says. Then if it's not quite up to scratch, or you just want to upgrade further anyway, you can save for a better system, and you know you havn't wasted too much money. My System: FordyPC
