Default Logitech Speakers

Hi, My new pc arrived today, started connecting everything and hey everything worked ------until i tried the speakers (logitech S220 2.1 ) i'm pretty sure i've connected them right and the company that put the pc together for me told me they had installed all the latest drivers for everything. ...

Hi,
My new pc arrived today, started connecting everything and hey everything worked ------until i tried the speakers (logitech S220 2.1 ) i'm pretty sure i've connected them right and the company that put the pc together for me told me they had installed all the latest drivers for everything.
It runs Vista by the way.
Please help it's a lovely pc but without sound it's a bit lame.

my advice is first try unplugging them and putting them back in just incase. if it still doesn't work try some headphones in the socket and see if they work. check if they run on batteries. if all fails, check the manual (i know it's boring but at least you'll get sound)

you dont need drivers for external speakers, make sure you have tem plueeged in the right place and make sure you have sound drivers for your card

Default Logitech Speakers

Also, usually when you connect or disconnect anything related to the audio sockets, a prompt will appear on screen, either telling you something has been disconnected, or suggesting what the component is that's just been connected, and it should tell you what colour ports are used for which components, IE speakers, sub, microphone etc.

Double check to make sure you're inserting your speakers into the correct port, should be the light blue one.
