| I have to build a computer for a friend who listens to a lot of music. Is onboard sound of a good enough quality for music, or should I add a sound card? He will probably use stereo more than surround sound.

| Onboard is fine, but obviously a dedicated card will be better quality.

| I was thinking that may be the case but was wondering if he didn't need all the bells and whistles if it was worth the extra. Probably best to explain this to him and let him choose. |
