It says that there is no audio card or audio device. I have speakers on my monitor that work fine. They weren't blasted out. I went to th eaudio control panel and it sayed that there was no hardware found. I've seached my computer for the hardwar and it cant be found. I didn't delete it and none of my music can play, my games can't play, there is no sound.

open up your computer and make sure your sound card is actually in the slot. take it out and put it back in.it may be that it is not in the socket all the way, so it doesnt' work

Right click on My computer scroll to properties, a box will open, under the hardware tab open Device Manager look at audio and video devices. Find your audio device , right click and scroll to uninstall device. After you uninstall it and click ok the install new hardware wizard will come up. Just follow the directions to reinstall the driver. You may need your recovery CD disk if you dont have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get the driver from.

Open Control Panel and then click on Sound option where you will see Audio device installed on your computer settings if not available then your Sound Driver is corrupted so Try to Install Sound Driver.

Have you sorted this problem?
Has it happened recently?
or is this "new" pc your using?
As windows is saying there is no "audio device",
you need to download the audio drivers for your motherboard from the m/b site
but first ensure that in the bios that the on-board sound is enabled

Apart from the other posts, sometimes the sound driver gets dumped. Check Device manager and see if your card is there without a yellow exclamation mark or question mark. It might pay to re-install the audio driver as well.
