i just got a new computer recently and hooked up my old speakers to them, they are not self powered, they are polk audio speakers i got with my old hp computer.
ive got all my settings turned up ALL THE WAY and you can still hardly hear them, with my old computer you could turn them up loud enough to blow them. im out of ideas of what could be wrong. |

If they are not self powered, you will need an amplifier, your previous computer must have had one built in.

Have you checked to see whether the sound is turned down in Windows? Control Panel and then sound and make sure it's not to a minimum!
