Hi folks, me again!

I've just done a self build, and I'm having a few various problems, and this is just one of them!

This is what is new...

Gigabyte S-series GA-965P
Core 2 Duo E6600
2 gig Corsair Ram
Leadteck 8800GTS 640meg
550 watt psu
320gig SATA

I'm running XP sp2

"No Audio Device".....is the problem.
I've installed all the sound drivers off the mobo disk. I went to the Gigabyte website and downloaded their latest drivers and still no show?

Over to you guys...:)

Have you installed ALL the drivers on the motherboard disk?

They are normally called 4in1 drivers or similar and consist on the core motherboard software.

They are essential for a new install of Windows.

Also have you had a look in device manager?

What is it displaying under the sound devices tab?

Hi Dave,

I've just put my Mobo cd in my player, and the cd went straight into install mode, installing all drivers again. The system then told me to reboot, which I did.
I went to open my Mobo cd again, and now my DVD drive is no longer being recognised!!!!
The words head, wall, smash and brick all spring to mind.

Is the drive connected properly and is it enabled in the BIOS?

Is the sound still not working?

I checked the Bios, and
IDE Channel 4 Master.........My 'Pioneer dvd r...'

SO yup, it's there, but in 'My Computer' and 'Device Manager', it aint there.

And no, still 'No Audio Devices'.
But I can't check my Mobo CD for anything.

I will attempt to put an old dvd player in, just to see if that is found....

That's a bit bizarre, let us know how you get on with the other drive.

The other DVD drive, has been found and is currently working, but I have been through this 'false dawn' before.
I've tried to re-install audio drivers, but I am now getting the old 'Must install Microsoft Bus drivers before realtech audio drivers' or words to that effect.
I've googled this and I've d/l a host of different drivers and hot fixes.......but getting nowhere fast.

Bus drivers are motherboard drivers so that ties in with what I said, glad it's working anyhow. :D
