Default PC-Amp L/R mix up... HELP!!

Ok.. PC 5.1 soundcard.. currently only using it as stereo Front left right jack goes to my pioneer stereo amp as the speakers are acoustics (Boston A40)

The problem is that Realtek HD Audio manager (on stereo setting) thinks that they're the wrong way round. ie I click on the left speaker to test and it comes out the right.

So I was just about to swith them over on the back of the amp.. when something made me decide o check it with the balance control on the SA-408.. so I did and the amp reckons they're fine, the right way around i spin it to the right and the noise comes out the right...

someone pleeeease tell me how I can make these little buggers work in harmony!!

or if that's gonna be impossible (I think this is the more likely route) which is going to be right for my sound?

Will I hear it right if the Amp thinks its ok, or if Realtek thinks its ok?

Cheers, Ollie
