My sound worked perfectly, I installed my Microsoft Lifechat headset and that was the only way to hear anything, but only when it is on. I want to be able to listen to music through my speakers.

This is the message that I get:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

iTunes pretty much says the same thing.

I know that before the Headset, I could listen through my speakers. So my Audio device is there...just not sure what to do.

When I go to Audio under Control Panel, there is nothing. I can not click on anything.

I am just at a lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I fixed it. The Headset had uninstalled my drivers. Thank you for taking the time to read
